After my GCE O-Level exams (Yr10), I moved to Perth to study (because my results were really poor...) This was my first year studying away from my parents, and my school attendance fell to a ridiculous low. As a result of missing too many classes, I failed my first year of studies in Australia.
That turned out to be a rather important life lesson.
